ABOUT THE CLASS:

This class single-handedly covers the actor's "New Normal” — online engagement — and how to audition the right way.

Commercial Markets are the same from Florida, to New York to LA. Though the climate and environment may be different, commercial markets have one thing in common — trained, professional actors that know what it takes to book work, and how to keep the bookings coming! If you want to learn the steps to success in any commercial market, then this class is for you! Learn from a curriculum full of content that covers technique for on-camera acting. Train in Emotional Technique, Improv, and On-Camera work each week as you're introduced to the skills that can build a solid career. Train using real commercial scripts with industry professionals and get feedback on your readings and auditions. Most importantly, practice self-taping and auditioning in the on-line environment through Zoom.

All classes include Fundamental lessons related to the craft of acting, the business of acting and on-camera audition technique. Each class is separated into 3 parts. Emotional Technique, Improv and On-Camera. Emotional Technique gives actors a chance to dive deep into the craft and develop a better understanding of what it means to “be an actor”. Improv games are used to warm up these principles and techniques. Scripts and Auditions are given each week for students to workshop and apply what they are learning On-Camera.

The Industry has changed over the past few years. Castings have adapted to an online format. Casting Directors are looking at Actors quickly and going through a bevy of different submissions. This class will prepare you for the “New Normal” and develop the skill needed to be prepared both during the selection process, as well as for when you book work!
